In addition to DJ Jazzy Jeff, the 14-track album features collaborations with Teyana Taylor and Jac Ross, showcasing Smith’s intention to blend contemporary sounds with nostalgic influences. Smith, an Oscar-winning actor and a major figure in pop culture, rose from music to become a global entertainment icon. His last music release, Lost and Found (2005), marked the beginning of his extended focus on film and production.

This musical comeback is significant not just creatively but also strategically, occurring amid Smith’s ongoing effort to restore his reputation after the infamous 2022 Oscars incident involving Chris Rock. His musical resurgence, potentially reconnecting him with fans and reaching new audiences, will test the depth of his rehabilitation in the public eye.
