Wednesday evening at Store Vega was not a typical pop concert. It was a study in intentionality. Finneas, the Grammy-winning producer and artist, curated a set that was defined not by spectacle, but by tone, tact, and intimacy.

Relying only on guitar, piano, and voice, Finneas showcased both restraint and capability. His tonal precision, from earthy spoken-word lows to effortlessly sustained highs, reflected technical finesse and artistic control.

Interludes between songs became part of the act — brief but deliberate anecdotes, human moments, or witty improvisations that subtly reinforced the performer’s accessibility. His storytelling blurred the line between audience and artist.

The show’s emotional anchor came with “Family Feud,” dedicated to his sister. The piece leaned into vulnerability and harmony, echoing a Lennon-McCartney sensibility that nodded respectfully to the past while sounding present and personal.

“Angel,” with its hushed arrangement and flickering phone lights, evoked an almost sacred quietude. And “The Kids Are All Dying” added historical resonance — a pandemic-era narrative rendered with rhythmic precision and emotional tension.

Closing with “For Cryin’ Out Loud!”, Finneas sealed the night with quiet strength. Notably absent was Billie Eilish — whose own Copenhagen shows received acclaim — but the omission gave space for Finneas’ solo artistry to stand unaccompanied and fully realized.
