Interviewer: With your latest single “Shri Ganesha 2025” out now, it’s an exciting time to speak with you both. First off—why go by Bondee System and not “Bondee & Mila”?
Mike: Bondee is actually my father’s middle name—it comes from France. Back in the ’90s, I met a French producer and asked what I should call myself. He said: “Bondee System.” Ever since, that’s been the name for all my projects.

Interviewer: Can you tell us a bit about the inspiration behind this track, Mike?
Mike: “Shri Ganesha 2025” was born from a desire to blend and explore different cultural sonic worlds. Fusing Central European and Indian tonalities felt like a natural next step. I’ve always believed that music is a universal language—and this piece celebrates that connection.
Interviewer: You’ve been part of the electronic scene since the early ’90s. How has that journey shaped your current sound?

Mike: It’s been a defining path. Starting out in Copenhagen’s electronic underground and remixing artists like Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream taught me the art of pushing genre boundaries. Each phase of my career has added a layer to my sound—and I’m always chasing that resonance between me and the listener.
Interviewer: “Shri Ganesha 2025” blends traditional instruments with modern electronic beats. How did you approach merging those sonic textures?
Mike: It started with a vision—to create something lush and layered. I wanted sitar and tabla to speak in harmony with synths and rhythms. Working with skilled musicians helped bring that to life, and the production process allowed me to stack and shape the sounds until it felt both familiar and fresh. It’s all about balance.
Interviewer: The vocals really stand out on this track. What was it like working with Mila’s voice?
Mike: Mila is truly exceptional. Her voice adds an ethereal dimension to the track—there’s emotion and depth in every phrase. We collaborated closely to make sure her vocals complemented the track’s complexity, and it ended up being a true artistic dialogue. Her contribution invites listeners into the soul of the piece.
Interviewer: Mila, what do you hope listeners take away from “Shri Ganesha 2025”?
Mila: I hope people feel joy and inspiration. Whether they’re unwinding or searching for focus, I want the song to offer a welcoming atmosphere. It’s about connecting to emotion and letting yourself drift into a sonic world. If it brings someone happiness, I’ve done my job.

Mike: The album is a continuation of the themes in “Shri Ganesha 2025”—with even more global influences and fresh collaborations. We’re pushing boundaries and diving deeper into new sounds, while staying rooted in what matters to me. It’s a rich and diverse body of work—and we can’t wait to share it!
