For the second consecutive year, the School of Fashion at Kent State University and IFA Paris will showcase their students’ work at New York Fashion Week, joined by the New York Film Academy (NYFA), whose Photography students will document the event. This unique collaboration highlights the efforts of these institutions to create immersive, real-world experiences for their students. The show will take place on September 6, 2023, at the Lightbox on 37th Street, with NYFA providing live coverage and exclusive behind-the-scenes access through social media channels.

David Mager, Chair of NYFA’s Photography School, expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the importance of industry exposure for students. “It’s an incredible opportunity for our photographers to capture the energy and creativity of New York Fashion Week,” he shared. Ann Mariko Walter from Kent State echoed this sentiment, underscoring the partnership’s success in showcasing the strengths of both schools through a culturally diverse lens.
